When and where is the gala?

What is the format of the evening?

The evening begins with an interactive Industry Innovation Expo and cocktail reception showcasing cutting-edge Illinois technology, followed by a formal seated dinner, keynote remarks by Governor JB Pritzker, and the presentation of the inaugural Illinois Impact Awards.

What is the dress code?

The attire for this event is Semi-formal / Formal .

Where do guests enter, and what security measures should be expected?

Guest entry is located off S. Stony Island Avenue. Detailed arrival, check-in, and security protocols will be emailed to all registered attendees prior to the event. Please note that security screening (including magnetometers) will be in effect upon arrival; guests are encouraged to plan accordingly.

Is parking available on site?

While some parking will be available, rideshare is the preferred option due to traffic and parking limitations.

Are hotel room blocks available for out-of-town guests?

Yes. We have secured special courtesy room rates for gala guests at several premier Chicago properties for stays between Thursday, October 1st and Friday, October 2nd, 2026. Please review the booking deadlines for each hotel below.

Hyatt Place Chicago-South / University Medical Center

Situated at 5225 S. Harper Ave, this 3-star hotel offers spacious rooms, a fitness center, and convenient access to both the Presidential Center and the University of Chicago.

The Study at University of Chicago

Located at 1227 East 60th Street, this highly-rated 4-star hotel is one of the closest lodging options directly adjacent to the Obama Presidential Center campus.

Hyatt Regency McCormick Place

Located at 2233 S. Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Dr. in Chicago's South Loop, this modern convention hotel is directly connected to McCormick Place and neighboring Wintrust Arena.

The Palmer House (A Hilton Hotel)

Located in the heart of the Chicago Loop, the iconic Palmer House offers classic elegance within walking distance of Millennium Park, Grant Park, State Street shopping, and world-class dining.

Is the venue ADA accessible?

Yes. Home Court and the entire Obama Presidential Center campus are fully ADA accessible. For specific mobility assistance, dietary accommodations, or special arrangements, please contact inquiries@illinoisedc.org in advance.

Registration & Attendance

How do sponsors register their table guests?

Sponsoring organizations will receive a direct digital intake link via Swell to submit guest names, contact details, and dietary requirements.

Can I purchase an individual ticket?

Table sponsorships are currently at capacity, and individual general admission tickets are not available for public purchase. For inquiries regarding remaining sponsorship tiers or late openings, please contact inquiries@illinoisedc.org.

I received a complimentary invitation—do I still need to RSVP?

Yes. All attendees must be registered in advance for security access and seating assignments. Please use the personalized RSVP link provided in your invitation.

Who should I contact if I have further questions?

Sponsorship, Exhibits & Media

When are program book advertisements and sponsor assets due?

All print ad materials, vector logos, and brand assets must be submitted via the sponsor intake form by Thursday, September 3, 2026, to ensure inclusion in the printed commemorative program book.

Can our company exhibit in the reception area?

The Industry Innovation Expo features curated, invitation-only installations highlighting key economic sectors across Illinois. For inquiries regarding future exhibition partnerships, please email inquiries@illinoisedc.org.

Will media coverage, photography, or filming take place?

Yes. Professional photographers and videographers will document the evening. By attending the Illinois Impact Awards, guests consent to being photographed and filmed for promotional, archival, and media use by the Illinois Economic Development Corporation and its partners.
